Wanted man arrested in Nashville after ramming into police vehicle

A man wanted on more than a dozen outstanding warrants was arrested mere days after ramming into a patrol vehicle during a pursuit in Goodlettsville, according to officials.

Jordan Barbee, 30, was apprehended on Monday, July 13, by the US Marshals Service Middle Tennessee Fugitive Task Force at a hotel on Brick Church Pike in Nashville.

The arrest occurred after the Goodlettsville Police Department attempted to halt a stolen 2009 Jaguar XF at an apartment complex off Alta Loma Road on Friday, July 10. When police attempted to halt the Jaguar, the driver, named as Barbee, reportedly crashed into a GPD patrol vehicle before fleeing the area.

As Barbee continued southward on Alta Loma Road toward Dry Creek Road, two officers chasing him were engaged in a separate incident and brought to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the GPD.

Barbee was transferred to the GPD after being arrested in Nashville, according to officials. He allegedly had over 16 outstanding warrants issued by several law enforcement agencies, including the GPD, Springfield Police Department, Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tennessee Department of Correction, some of which dated back to 2023.

“The U.S. Marshals Service, in partnership with state and local law enforcement agencies, remains committed to the relentless pursuit of violent offenders and fugitives to help keep our communities safe,” said the task force in a release about Barbee’s capture.
