Man taken into custody for attempted murder in Baltimore

A 25-year-old Baltimore man has been taken into custody and faces many counts in connection with a gunshot that occurred in southeast Baltimore earlier this month.

On June 13, just before 5 a.m., officers rushed to the 3400 block of East Fairmount Avenue for a reported shooting. Officers located a 28-year-old guy with gunshot wounds to his lower torso. He was transported to a local hospital to recover.

Police said 25-year-old Quron Smith is wanted in connection with the shooting.

On June 27, about 3:20 a.m., cops detained Smith in the 600 block of North Glover Street and seized a loaded firearm.

Smith was brought to the Central Booking Intake facility.

Police accused him with attempted first-degree murder and a weapons violation.
