Man and woman taken into custody in connection with fatal shooting of Boston teen

Two Boston residents were taken into custody on Friday in connection with the fatal 2025 shooting of a teenager.

According to a police statement, Armani Collazos, 26, of Brighton, was detained at 6 a.m. by Boston police. Miranda Bodden, 22, an Allston resident, was arrested at 8:45 a.m.

Collazos and Bodden were wanted for the shooting death of Phillip Franco, a 15-year-old Brighton resident.

On June 12, 2025, officers responded to a report of a shooting near 17A Gordon St. in Allston. Officers discovered Franco with a gunshot wound.

Franco was transferred to a hospital and died on June 17, 2025.

Collazos has been charged with murder, assault and battery with a firearm, four charges of attempted murder by firearm, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, and carrying a firearm without a license (second offense).

Bodden faces five counts of accessory after the fact.
