$20M lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio

The Ohio Lottery has announced that the first top-prize winner in the MILLIONAIRE FOR LIFE game has officially claimed the jackpot.

The Angel Trust, which was represented by attorney Alan S. Levine, claimed the winning ticket.

The ticket matched all five numbers and the Millionaire Ball in the April 27 drawing. The winning numbers were 4, 15, 19, 21, and 31, with a Millionaire Ball of 4.

The jackpot offered an annuitized prize of $1 million per year for life. Instead, the trust went with the one-time cash option of $10 million. The trust will receive $7.325 million after deducting 26.75% in obligatory federal and state taxes.

According to lottery authorities, the winning ticket was purchased at Giant Eagle #1263, 15325 Edgecliff Ave. in Cleveland.

The jackpot is the first awarded since the multi-state MILLIONAIRE FOR LIFE game began in February. The $5 draw game offers players the opportunity to win either $1 million per year for life or $100,000 per year for life, with cash choices available for both prizes.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery claims to have donated more than $34 billion to education throughout the state.
