The majority of the money was stolen on May 26 from Chef Quang Guyanese Chinese Restaurant on Atlantic Avenue in Cypress Hills. The suspect allegedly broke in around 2:15 a.m. and swiped a safe containing around $100,000 in cash. Staff members stated that the whole burglary was captured on video.
He is also suspected of taking $900 from a drawer at a company on Jamaica Avenue in Richmond Hill on May 24 and $2,000 from a cash register at a shop on Conduit Boulevard in Cypress Hills on May 30.
Police said he entered the locations by breaking glass doors and windows in the overnight or early morning hours.
