63-year-old man dead and another hurt after head-on collision in Delaware

A 63-year-old man is dead and another person is hurt after a head-on collision in Delaware on Tuesday morning.

At 5:20 a.m., an accident occurred near Fern and London roads in Delaware. According to Police Chief Adam Moore, a Honda minivan crashed head-on with a Kia SUV while driving south on U.S. 42.

The driver of the Honda, Mark Rawlins, was pronounced dead on the spot. The driver of the Kia was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and is expected to be OK.

Additional information on the crash was not available.

U.S. 42 was closed in both directions between U.S. 23 and Jegs. Place for several hours. It has now reopened.
