A North Carolina man who was seen on a video assaulting a lady and threatening her with a firearm at a petrol station in northeast Indianapolis was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
On February 19, 2026, Mark White, 62, was convicted of six felonies: criminal confinement, intimidation, pointing a handgun, strangling, criminal recklessness, and battery resulting in bodily injury.
The encounter was caught on camera at a gas station near 56th Street and Emerson Way, near Binford Boulevard, around 4:30 p.m. Jan. 21, 2025.
According to court documents, the woman told officers that White placed the gun at her head and shouted, “I will kill you,” before grabbing her by the throat, strangling her, and placing the weapon against her head and face.
According to court filings, White admitted to police that he threatened to “blow her head off.”
Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears shared the following statement:
“The defendant’s dangerous actions and willingness to escalate what began as a simple conflict too often result in deadly violence, and that will not be tolerated.”
