A man has been taken into custody after allegedly striking two women at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta.
The incident occurred on May 14, about 12 a.m.
According to Bruce, Bland repeatedly punched one victim in the face with a closed fist in response to arrest orders. Bland reportedly hurled a garbage can at the victim, which struck her in the head.
According to the warrant, the victim sustained facial bruising.
The warrants also state that Bland slapped another victim with a fist on her lips. She had swelling and bruising on her mouth.
Bland is accused of battery and simple battery, according to the warrant. Both accusations are misdemeanors.
