Kidnapped children from Missouri located in southern New Mexico one man taken into custody

Two children reportedly kidnapped in Missouri have been discovered safe in southern New Mexico.

The children were found in Chaparral, Otero County, near the Texas border, according to the US Marshals Service. Investigators claim the suspect, Ralph Jones Jr., was driving through New Mexico with the two children and a third child. Authorities issued an alert to law enforcement authorities in New Mexico, which led to the group’s discovery. All three children have recovered and are said to be in good health. Jones was taken into jail without incident and is currently imprisoned at the Doña Ana County Detention Center. He is anticipated to be extradited to Missouri, where he faces kidnapping charges while the investigation is ongoing.
