4 people arrested after ‘teen takeover’ in Spring neighborhood leads to fights with constables

Deputies arrested four people, two of whom were teenagers, following a “teen takeover” in a spring area that went chaotic.

According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, officers responded to Country Canyon Drive in the Country Lakes Estates community of Spring at 11:30 p.m. on Friday night.

Several hundred people, including youths, were on the street. When deputies sought to disperse the crowd, multiple conflicts ensued, including several attacks on deputy constables, according to Precinct 4.

Three deputies were assaulted, with one requiring medical attention after sustaining a concussion, Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said.

Two teenage girls were detained and accused with assaulting a public official. Two adult men have been arrested and charged with interfering with official responsibilities.

Trevion Mott, 18, and Deuntae Gamble, 17, were booked into the Harris County Jail and given $1,500 bonds. The two teenage girls were released to Harris County Juvenile Probation.
