3 people indicted in deadly robbery and kidnapping plot that began at NC casino

Three people from South Carolina have been indicted in what federal prosecutors call a deadly interstate robbery and kidnapping plot that started at a North Carolina casino.

Elisa Marie Rosario, 33, Jeremy Todd Lark, 42, and Kezayvian Lee Campbell, 19, were indicted on ten counts by a federal grand jury in Greenville.

Robbery impacting interstate trade, kidnapping that results in death, using a firearm during a violent crime, and obstruction of justice are just a few of the major charges against the accused.

Investigators say victim was lured to casino

The group reportedly executed a plot to rob a man of cash, jewelry, a cellphone, and a hired car in June 2025, according to the indictment.

The victim was persuaded to go from South Carolina to Harrah’s Cherokee Casino in North Carolina under the guise of going on a date with Rosario, according to the prosecution.

As they got ready for the journey, the suspects allegedly carried guns, masks, and gloves.

The victim was allegedly taken by the suspects about 12 miles into Sylva, North Carolina, where they shot and robbed him, killing him.

Later, in a forested region in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, authorities discovered the victim’s body along with a burning rental automobile.
