6 people taken into custody after drug bust near elementary school in South Carolina

Six people were taken into custody after deputies executed a search warrant at a Florence home near an elementary school, allegedly discovering illegal drugs and firearms, according to authorities.

The Florence County Sheriff’s Office reported that officers, narcotics investigators, and SWAT members investigated a home on McMillan Drive near McLaurin Elementary School on Friday.

During the search, investigators seized a significant amount of fentanyl, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and many guns.

According to authorities, six persons were apprehended at the scene.

Cody Lee Sellers, 23, was charged with possessing fentanyl and a dangerous drug near a school. He is being jailed under a $10,000 bond.

Allen Shante Onasanya Daniels, 42, was charged with trafficking fentanyl and possessing a dangerous drug near a school. Daniels was released with a $50,000 bond.

Brandy Devonna Welch, 43, was charged with trafficking fentanyl and is being held on a $50,000 bond.

Trey Arthur Graham, 43, was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possessing a controlled substance near a school, and possessing a handgun while convicted of possessing with intent to distribute a controlled substance. He is being jailed under a $41,000 bond.

Daniel Scott Carmichael, 43, was charged with possessing fentanyl and a dangerous drug near a school. Carmichael was released with a $13,000 bond.

Justin Ailes, 36, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine base and possession of a prohibited substance in close proximity to a school. Officials stated that Ailes also had an outstanding warrant from another jurisdiction and had previously been denied release in that case.

The investigation is underway.
