A 21-year-old Halethorpe man is facing charges in connection with a gunshot earlier this month that killed another 21-year-old on Lakebrook Circle, which authorities are calling an isolated incident.
The man died the next day after being admitted to a nearby hospital with a potentially fatal gunshot wound. Investigators later located the crime site in the 2900 block of Lakebrook Circle.
According to FOX45, Baltimore County police named the suspect as Deontay Studivant, 21, and the victim as Damon Walker, also 21. According to the publication, Studivant was arrested this week and charged in connection with the incident. Officials have not disclosed specific charging paperwork or stated what they believe occurred prior to the gunfire.
According to detectives, cops were dispatched to a local hospital on May 6 at approximately 12:20 a.m. after a shooting victim entered. The Baltimore County Police Department reported that the person was pronounced deceased on May 7.
Police said the gunshot occurred in the 2900 block of Lakebrook Circle and described it as an isolated occurrence, which may provide some reassurance to neighbors but leaves many unresolved concerns. Investigators are still working the case and have requested anyone with information to contact the agency.
