A man from northeastern Ohio was Monday after police reported that another man was robbed at gunpoint in the 2800 block of Collis Avenue in East Huntington.
Perry Allen Wynn II, 30, of Akron, Ohio, was arrested near the 2900 block of Third Avenue, according to a Huntington Police Department announcement.
According to court records in Cabell County, the victim told police that Wynn pulled out a revolver and commanded him to “empty his pockets” as he was leaving his home. The suspect fled with a cell phone, $40 cash, and several other items.
The incident was reported shortly before 4:30 p.m. Monday.
Police say they discovered some of the stolen items but did not recover the gun. They also discovered some fentanyl on Wynn during a strip search.
Wynn is charged with first-degree robbery, possessing a narcotic substance with the intent to deliver, and obstructing an officer.
The culprit was sent to the Western Regional Jail. His bond is for $40,000 cash.
His next court date is slated for 10:30 a.m. on May 19.
