A man wanted by Worcester police in connection with a Russell Street break-in has been apprehended after an early morning altercation at a convenience store, according to the Worcester Police Department.
Officers responded to a reported alarm at a Park Ave. convenience store just before 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6th, and discovered the front door damaged with glass dispersed on the ground. Police discovered that more than $2,000 in scratch tickets, cigarettes, and sodas had been stolen.
Less than two hours after analyzing security film, cops located the man on Foster Street moving toward Washington Square. Police stopped the man and noticed he was carrying a bag from the store that included scratch tickets, Pepsi, and smokes.
Dillon Gloss-Porzio, 34, was arrested and charged with stealing over $1,200, breaking and entering with intent to conduct a felony, and vandalizing.
Police said Gloss-Porzio was also wanted in connection with a separate breaking and entering on Russell Street on April 21st, the same crime for which investigators had previously asked the public for assistance identifying a suspect.
