LMPD recovered 48 stolen firearms following a reported burglary.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Police arrested two Louisville men after recovering 48 firearms linked to a recent burglary.
According to a social media post from Louisville Metro Police, officers arrested 37-year-old Daniel Vincent and 36-year-old Andrew Huffman on April 22 in connection with the case.
Court documents state that Vincent and three others carried out the burglary on April 20 in the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood.
Investigators say the group planned the break-in over several days after noticing firearms displayed in a window.
After the burglary, the four individuals went to Huffman’s home, where they attempted to dispose of the firearms in the garage, according to the citation. Huffman then hid the weapons in different rooms throughout the house.
Police arrested Huffman after locating 39 of the stolen firearms at his residence. Officers later arrested Vincent at a home off Dixie Highway, where they found additional firearms tied to the burglary.
Huffman faces charges of first-degree burglary and receiving stolen property.
Vincent faces charges of receiving stolen property and engaging in organized crime.
Both men were arraigned on April 25 and are scheduled for preliminary hearings on May 4. Their bonds were set at $10,000.
