LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police arrested a man they say shot a woman in the hand in Old Louisville on Thursday.
Police said officers took 50-year-old Sammy Mobley into custody on Sunday.
Authorities responded just before 10 p.m. Thursday to a reported shooting in the 300 block of East Oak Street.
When officers arrived, they found a woman with a gunshot wound to her hand.
First responders provided aid at the scene before transporting her to the hospital, where she is expected to survive, police said.
Mobley faces an assault charge and is also charged with drug-related offenses and possession of stolen property.
