Escaped Kentucky inmate captured in Nelson County

NELSON COUNTY, Ky. — An inmate who walked away from a work program has been taken back into custody in Nelson County.

The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office said earlier this week that inmate Jerry Nation had left a work program and was believed to be on foot near Wire Lane.

In an update on Saturday, the sheriff’s office confirmed that Nation was located and taken into custody.

Officials did not release additional details about how he was captured.
