Man charged in deadly Old Louisville shooting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting in Old Louisville just two days after the incident.

The shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of South Fourth Street.

Officers responded and found a man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said a woman was also assaulted during the incident and is expected to survive.

On Friday, officers arrested 36-year-old Christopher Lewis. He faces charges of murder, first-degree assault, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Police said Lewis was also served with two unrelated warrants.
