The body of murder suspect Darrion Young has been found along the banks of the Cumberland River in Kentucky, confirming suspicions that he jumped from an Interstate 24 bridge into the river in mid-March.

Young, 37, had been wanted in connection with the strangulation death of his girlfriend, Kierra Timmons, 26. Her body was discovered on March 14 inside Young’s apartment on Brittany Park Drive in Antioch.

The night before, Kentucky State Police found Timmons’ red Dodge Charger abandoned on an I-24 bridge over the Cumberland River. The vehicle’s engine was still running, the driver’s door was open, and the hazard lights were flashing. Young’s driver’s license was located inside the car.

On Monday, a resident clearing property near the riverbank in Kuttawa, Kentucky discovered a body and alerted authorities. Officials later confirmed the deceased was Young.
