Two charged with broad daylight wire theft

Clay County Sheriff, Patrick Robinson, reports that on 12/13/2024 Chief Deputy Clifton Jones, arrested Patricia Wagers, 52, and Dennie Taylor, 45, both of Manchester.
Chief Deputy Jones responded to a call in reference to individuals loading cables into a red Chevrolet Silverado on S HWY 421. After an investigation Chief Deputy Jones was able to locate and stop the individuals vehicle. In plain sight, in the bed of the Silverado, Chief Deputy Jones was able to see the cable and wire cutters.
Deputies were also able to determine the cut ends of the cable hanging from the utility poles were the same as the cables found in the bed of the Silverado truck.
Wagers was arrested for:
-TBUT OR DISP - ALL OTHERS
-POSSESSION OF BURGLARY TOOLS
-CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2ND DEGREE
-OPERATING ON SUS OR REV OPER LICENSE
-FAILURE TO APPEAR
-SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT
Taylor was arrested for:
-TBUT OR DISP - ALL OTHERS
-POSSESSION OF BURGLARY TOOLS
-CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2ND DEGREE
