KENTUCKY — Four people were arrested Thursday in connection with a suspected drug trafficking operation in Daviess County, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said deputies executed a search warrant Thursday morning at a home in the 900 block of East 3rd Street in Owensboro after a months-long investigation.
Investigators reported conducting multiple undercover purchases of methamphetamine during the case. When executing the search, deputies said they discovered large quantities of meth, along with scales, baggies, and other items commonly associated with drug trafficking.
Four individuals inside the home were taken into custody. They were identified as 69-year-old James Belcher, 46-year-old Daniel French, 35-year-old Mariah Smith, and 36-year-old Whitney Belcher.
James Belcher and French face multiple drug-related charges. Smith and Whitney Belcher were arrested on failure-to-appear bench warrants, authorities said.
Officials noted that the investigation is still ongoing.
