LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Louisville police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting that happened in April 2025.
Authorities charged 42-year-old John Long with assault, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and illegal discharge of a firearm, along with unrelated federal charges that are still pending.
LMPD officers responded to a reported shooting in the 200 block of East Broadway, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to UofL Hospital for treatment.
Long appeared in court Tuesday morning.
