Officials have identified the woman who died after falling from a cliff on Sonora Hardin Springs Road in rural Hardin County near the Grayson County line.
West Hardin Fire & Rescue said crews responded Saturday evening around 7:45 p.m. to a reported rescue involving a fall from a cliff.
The victim, 27-year-old Aleiana Jade Witten-Higgs of Louisville, fell two to three stories near the edge of a cliff in a remote area and landed on rocks, according to officials.
Rescuers navigated steep and rugged terrain to reach her but found she had suffered fatal injuries. The Hardin County Coroner’s Office pronounced her dead at the scene.
