LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Police arrested a woman in connection with a fire at a Louisville apartment complex over the weekend after she allegedly said she was “going to kill everybody.”

According to an arrest citation, 68-year-old Elizabeth Radmacher faces charges of arson, wanton endangerment, and criminal mischief for intentionally setting her apartment on fire.

The incident happened around 3 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Stonewater Apartments on Tazwell Drive. Authorities evacuated other residents in the building for safety. Court documents state that while outside, multiple residents and officers heard Radmacher say, “I’m going to kill everybody.” She also reportedly claimed that someone else forced her to set the fire.

Officials said one person was transported to the hospital. The fire caused approximately $100,000 in damage, according to the arrest citation. Police said Radmacher was in the process of being evicted before the incident.

Radmacher is currently being held at Metro Corrections in downtown Louisville and is scheduled to appear in arraignment court Thursday morning.
