Police are investigating after a bomb threat was reported Sunday afternoon at two hospitals in Lexington, Kentucky.

According to the Lexington Police Department, officers received a call around 1:15 p.m. reporting a bomb threat at both CHI St. Joseph Health on St. Joseph Drive and Saint Joseph East Hospital on North Creek Drive.

Authorities said four police units were immediately dispatched to the locations.

Police conducted searches of both hospital facilities, but no explosive devices were found.

During the investigation, crews from LEX 18 observed that the hospital had temporarily evacuated while officers searched the premises.

Additional agencies assisting at the scene included the Lexington Fire Department and the University of Kentucky Police Department.
