LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting in the Okolona neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.
According to LMPD, officers responded around 12:20 p.m. to the 5300 block of Carolina Crossing Way following reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a man outside the residence with gunshot wounds to his legs. Officers provided first aid until EMS and Okolona Fire crews arrived. EMS later transported the victim to University of Louisville Hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit has taken over the investigation, and at this time there are no known suspects.
