MOUNT WASHINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky Fish and Wildlife officials reported an unusual call involving the discovery of alligators inside a home.

According to Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement, the Mount Washington Police Department contacted a fish and wildlife warden on Feb. 11 after receiving a report that someone might be keeping an alligator.

Authorities said officers responded to a home in Bullitt County to investigate the complaint.

When officers asked about the alligator, officials said the individual led them to the basement, where they found two alligators and a caiman.

The person was charged with three counts of propagation and holding of wildlife without a permit.
