Monday morning, Cass County Judge Lisa Swaim approved the state’s motion to dismiss charges against Zenada Greer.
LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – On Monday morning, Cass County Judge Lisa Swaim granted the state’s request to drop charges against Zenada Greer.
Greer was initially arrested in connection with the investigation into the shooting of Tippecanoe County Judge Steven Meyer. Authorities had accused her of providing the getaway vehicle for suspects police say were planning to kill the judge. Investigators said they identified her vehicle near the scene of the shooting.
Court records indicate Greer had been living in Lexington, Kentucky, with the alleged shooter, Raylen Ferguson. However, Ferguson did not mention Greer in his confession.
Greer had previously faced felony charges of assisting a criminal and obstruction of justice, but with the case dismissed, she is now free.
