Authorities are investigating after a Northern Kentucky man died following a crash Thursday evening in Cold Spring, Kentucky.

According to the Cold Spring Police Department, Ivan Chandler, 42, of Newport, Kentucky, was struck by a vehicle in the 5400 block of U.S. 27 northbound at about 7:07 p.m.

Police said Chandler was found at the scene with serious injuries and was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he later died.

Investigators have not said why Chandler was on the highway at the time of the crash.

The driver involved in the incident remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, according to police.

The crash remains under investigation. Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to contact Officer Joe Krull with the Cold Spring Police Department.
