An Indiana State Police trooper’s vehicle overturned on March 6, 2026, after a pursuit involving a suspect in Clarksville, Indiana, ended in a crash.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A suspect remained on the run Friday night after a police chase in southern Indiana ended with a trooper’s vehicle overturning.

According to Indiana State Police, the pursuit began on Interstate 65 in Clarksville after a traffic stop.

The chase ended about a quarter mile later on Veterans Parkway when the suspect crashed into another vehicle. That vehicle then struck a trooper’s cruiser, causing it to overturn.

Indiana State Police said two children who were inside the vehicle hit by the suspect were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The trooper involved in the crash was also taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Authorities said the passenger in the suspect’s vehicle is now in custody and was transported to the hospital for injuries.

Police said no one suffered serious injuries.

Investigators said the suspect fled the scene on foot, and additional details about the individual have not yet been released.

Police said they do not believe there is an immediate threat to the public.
