NEW ALBANY, Ind. — Several homes were spared from significant damage after firefighters responded swiftly to a blaze early Thursday morning.
Crews arrived at the 1600 block of King Street, just off Vincennes Street, shortly before 5 a.m. following reports of a possible house fire.
When firefighters reached the scene, they encountered heavy flames coming from a detached garage.
Officials said crews acted quickly to knock down the fire and stop it from spreading to nearby homes.
Authorities have reported no injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
