Man Dies a Day After Being Shot in Louisville’s Portland Neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man who was hospitalized in critical condition after a shooting Thursday morning in the Portland neighborhood has died.

The Louisville Metro Police Department said the shooting occurred around 2 a.m. at the corner of North 28th and St. Xavier streets. Officers arrived to find a man lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency crews transported him to UofL Hospital in critical condition. A police spokesperson confirmed Friday that he later died.
