LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Louisville Metro Police Department arrested a man and a juvenile after tracking down a stolen vehicle connected to a violent carjacking.

Police said 19-year-old Justin Broyles and a 17-year-old were taken into custody following the incident, which happened Feb. 18 on Lydia Street. Investigators say the two suspects robbed a woman at gunpoint and stole her vehicle.

Officers used multiple resources, including the department’s FLOCK camera technology, to locate the stolen vehicle. Authorities tracked it to the 3300 block of Renwood Boulevard.

When officers found the vehicle, they discovered Broyles and his juvenile accomplice inside. Police said both suspects admitted their involvement in the crime.

The juvenile was also found in possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, according to investigators.
