Man Dies After Shooting in Louisville’s Camp Taylor Neighborhood, Police Say

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man was shot and killed Thursday evening in Louisville’s Camp Taylor neighborhood.

Officers with the Louisville Metro Police Department responded around 7:30 p.m. to a reported shooting in the 1500 block of Belmar Drive, according to department spokesperson Adam Sears. The location is near Poplar Level Road and Audubon Country Club.

When officers arrived, they found a man unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

LMPD’s Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. At this time, police have not identified any suspects and have made no arrests.

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area at the time — and who may have captured video on a cellphone or home surveillance system — to contact police.
