Juvenile found shot in Warren Walker Park

A boy died following a reported shooting at a park in east Louisville on Monday evening.

A MetroSafe supervisor said officers responded to a reported shooting around 7:35 p.m. in the 600 block of Gatehouse Lane in Douglass Hills, located off Blankenbaker Parkway and Finchley Road.

According to Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Aaron Ellis, responding officers discovered a male juvenile with a gunshot wound at the gazebo inside Warren Walker Park.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene. LMPD’s Homicide Unit is conducting a death investigation.
