LMPD: Louisville Man Surrenders in December Shooting Case

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is now in custody after police say he turned himself in Wednesday for a shooting that took place in December 2025.

Louisville Metro Police arrested 33-year-old Rayvomte Humphries in connection with a Dec. 16 shooting in the 2300 block of West Market Street.

According to the arrest citation, Humphries was riding a bike and crossed over from the victim’s location. When he reached the scene, he shot the victim.

Police said three other people were present at the time of the shooting.

The citation also states that Humphries turned himself in, was read his Miranda Rights, and admitted to the shooting.

Humphries now faces charges of assault and wanton endangerment.

The victim’s condition remains unknown.
