KUTTAWA, Ky. (FOX 56) — Kentucky State Police asked the public Tuesday to help identify a man connected to an ongoing counterfeit money investigation that began in late January.

According to KSP, troopers from Post 1 in Hickory received a report that counterfeit cash was used at the Wendy’s in Kuttawa shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 20.

A Tuesday news release from KSP stated that security footage from the restaurant captured an image of a man with dark facial hair wearing a red hoodie, khaki shorts, and a dark baseball cap.

State police are asking anyone with information that may help identify the man in the surveillance image to contact KSP Post 1 at (270) 856-3721 or submit an anonymous tip online.
