KENTUCKY — A 28-year-old man from Oak Grove was arrested Sunday following a shooting that left another man injured, according to the Oak Grove Police Department.
Police said dispatch received a call around 11:38 a.m. reporting a shooting and a victim with a gunshot wound. Officers responded to the scene, where the victim told them he was shot in the leg during an argument over money.
Investigators identified the suspect as Hakim Bowles, 28, of Oak Grove. Police said Bowles left the area before officers arrived.
Officers later located Bowles hiding near a community center and, with assistance from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, took him into custody without incident.
Bowles was transported to the Christian County Jail and charged with two counts of first-degree assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Police did not immediately release the victim’s condition. The investigation is ongoing.
