LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — Louisville Metro Police have arrested a fourth person in connection with a deadly shooting in the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood.
The earlier suspects, two unnamed juveniles and 20-year-old Daontez Hodges, were charged with murder in what court documents describe as a “revenge plan” that left 20-year-old Milton Ritichie dead in a PRP ditch with multiple gunshot wounds.
On Feb. 9, LMPD announced charges against the stepmother and legal guardian of a 17-year-old boy identified by the initials JB, who was arrested on Feb. 6.
Police charged Jill Brooks, 51, with hindering prosecution or apprehension and making a false report.
Court documents state that investigators identified multiple suspects, including JB, following the Dec. 20 homicide. After obtaining a search warrant for JB’s phone, detectives found several messages exchanged between JB and Brooks discussing the shooting.
According to the documents, Brooks asked JB about the shooting on Fordhaven, and JB replied, “ik i did it.” JB then allegedly asked Brooks to burn his clothing and report him missing to police. Documents say Brooks agreed and instructed JB to delete the messages.
An arrest citation says Brooks filed a missing persons report with the Shively Police Department on Dec. 22, telling officers the last time she saw JB was Dec. 18.
Court records allege that during an interview on the day JB was arrested, he admitted to police that he asked someone to burn his clothes and did not know where they were. Officers did not locate the clothing after executing a search warrant at his home.
