LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man currently being held at Louisville’s jail is now facing an additional charge connected to a separate shooting from August 2025.

Louisville Metro Police said officers responded around 8:20 p.m. on Aug. 19 to a report of a shooting in the 2700 block of Crum’s Lane. When police arrived, they found a woman with a graze wound to her chest.

Investigators later determined the shooting likely occurred in the 3800 block of Shanks Lane.

First responders transported the woman to the hospital, where she was expected to survive, according to police.

LMPD said the suspect, 24-year-old Andrew Jackson, was already in police custody on unrelated charges. He has now been charged with assault in connection with this investigation.
