Louisville Metro police have arrested a man in connection with the robbery and assault of a rideshare driver.

Quishawn Walker, 22, of Louisville, faces charges of robbery, wanton endangerment for discharging a firearm, assault, and unlawful imprisonment.

According to an arrest warrant, the incident occurred on Oct. 19, 2025, while Walker was riding in a vehicle he ordered through a rideshare app. Police say Walker got into an argument with the driver, then pulled out a handgun and struck the driver in the face and upper body with the gun’s handle and his hands. When the driver attempted to end the trip, Walker allegedly threatened to shoot him unless he drove him home.

After arriving at Walker’s residence, the warrant states that he demanded the driver’s money and struck him in the head. During a struggle outside the vehicle, one round was fired from the gun. Neither man was hit, and both fled the scene before the victim contacted police.

Walker was taken into custody on Feb. 4, 2026, and was scheduled to be arraigned the following day.

In addition to the charges related to this incident, Walker was also arraigned on a separate charge of assault involving domestic violence.
