KENTUCKY — A woman was shot and killed early Friday morning near Louisville’s Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Police said officers responded to a shooting report around 5:30 a.m. in the 7500 block of Winstead Drive. When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to UofL Hospital in critical condition. LMPD spokesperson Adam Sears said she died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Because of the severity of the injuries, the department’s Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. Police have not released the woman’s identity and have not shared details about any potential suspects.
