LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A woman was arrested Monday night after allegedly stabbing her live-in boyfriend in Louisville’s Portland neighborhood.

Louisville Metro Police were called to the 200 block of North 32nd Street around 9:50 p.m. following reports of a stabbing, according to LMPD spokesman Aaron Ellis. Officers arrived to find a man inside the residence suffering from a stab wound.

Police provided aid at the scene and applied a tourniquet until EMS arrived. The man was then taken to UofL Health Jewish Hospital, where his injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.

Natasha Manrus, 26, was arrested at the scene. Her citation states that she and the man were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation. During the incident, she allegedly used a knife to cut her boyfriend’s hand, causing injuries that will require surgery.

The citation also says Manrus threatened to kill him before the assault. She is charged with assault involving domestic violence and terroristic threatening.

Manrus is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning.
