Lawsuit filed for 15th victim of Louisville UPS plane crash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — A lawsuit has been filed on behalf of the 15th victim of the UPS cargo plane crash in Louisville on Friday, Jan. 23.

According to a news release, the lawsuit was filed after Alain Colina, 50, died on Christmas Day from injuries he sustained in the crash.

Louisville’s FOX affiliate, WDRB, reported that Colina was working at Grade A Auto Parts on the day of the crash and suffered severe burns and other injuries. He died in the hospital more than seven weeks later.

Colina is survived by his 16-year-old daughter, who lives in Cuba.

The plane crashed on Nov. 4, 2025, after its left wing caught fire. Fifteen people, including three pilots, died as a result of the crash.
