Police investigate after child hurt in Pleasure Ridge Park shooting

Police are investigating after a 6-year-old child was injured in a shooting near Pleasure Ridge Park on Jan. 22, according to a news release from Louisville Metro Police.

LMPD responded to a reported shooting in the 6500 block of Don Bon Court at around 9:35 p.m., spokesperson Adam Sears said. When officers arrived, they found the child suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers provided first aid until emergency services arrived at the scene. The child, who was alert and conscious, was transported to Norton Children’s Hospital, Sears said.
