LEXINGTON, Ky. — A multi-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Lexington claimed one life and left another person seriously injured, police said.
Officers from the Lexington Police Department responded around 9:30 a.m. to a collision at the intersection of Tates Creek Road and Clearwater Way. Two victims were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. One later died, while the condition of the second victim has not been updated.
Police reported that outbound lanes of Tates Creek Road were closed during the investigation, with one inbound lane remaining open. A crash reconstruction unit is examining the scene to determine the cause.
Authorities have not yet released details about the vehicles involved or what led to the collision.
