A man has been arrested following a Christmas Day shooting in east Louisville that sent his roommate to the hospital.
Louisville Metro Police arrested 20-year-old Angel Guerrero on Sunday, Jan. 4, in connection with the incident, according to arrest records.
Police say Guerrero and his roommate were inside their home on Dec. 25, 2025, when Guerrero, who was reportedly intoxicated, began showing off a handgun. Investigators allege he fired the weapon in an unknown direction before shooting additional rounds at the victim, striking him in the arm and chest.
After the shooting, Guerrero allegedly fled the scene before officers arrived.
He is charged with assault. Guerrero’s arraignment is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 5, at 9 a.m.
