LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Authorities have identified a 27-year-old man as one of two victims killed in a deadly crash near Okolona on Dec. 26.

Louisville Metro Police officers responded to a multi-vehicle collision in the 10300 block of Preston Highway at Maple Spring Drive just after 8 p.m., according to department spokesperson Aaron Ellis.

The crash occurred near Commerce Crossings Drive and Cooper Chapel Road, just off Interstate 265.

Investigators said the motorcyclist was traveling north on Preston Highway when a vehicle pulled from Maple Spring Drive into the northbound lanes and struck him.

Police said a third vehicle, also heading north on Preston Highway, then collided with the motorcycle and the vehicle involved in the initial crash.

The impact ejected the motorcyclist from the bike, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim Tuesday as Austin Anderson.

Police also said a man in his 80s later died at the hospital from his injuries. Authorities have not released his name.
