The fatal head-on collision occurred late Monday on KY 79 in Breckinridge County.
MCDANIELS, Ky. — Kentucky State Police are investigating a deadly head-on crash in Breckinridge County.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, near the four-mile marker of KY 79, according to officials.
During a preliminary investigation, troopers determined a Hyundai Sonata driven by 42-year-old Justin Nance of Falls of Rough crossed the center line and struck a Jeep Patriot SUV driven by 41-year-old Daniella Wright of Louisville.
Authorities said Nance suffered fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wright and a passenger were taken to the University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries.
KSP said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
